Since established in 1999, SWS have completed three FPSOs, and one semi rig is under construction. Currently SWS Offshore Department has employees up to 250, of which critical personnel have been involved in previous three FPSO projects, covering business scopes from project management, engineering and design, procurement, HSE, QA/QC, planning, construction to commissioning.
The engineering team have engineerings of 150, in charge of detail design, shop design, workmanship development and technical research, using design software of Tribon M2, AutoCAD, PDMS.
FPSO
FPSO(floating production storage offloading unit) is one of key facilities for offshore oil exploration and development, with characteristics of high-risk, high-tech, high value-added.

SWS was awarded by CNOOC on Oct. 18, 2007 to build one 6th Gen. Semi-submersible drilling unit "Hai Yang Shi You 981", which is one of key national "863" Programs and is the first DPS-3 deepwater semi rig ever built in China.
This rig is capable of operating in South China Sea,West Africa and South East Asia, with drilling depth up to 10000m and operating water depth up to 3000m, classed ABS and CCS.
